Mission Statement

In response to the Great Commission, Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.

Details

"Changing the world one child at a time." Compassion International is a Christian child development organization dedicated to training children to be leaders in their own community, to have the skills to get out of poverty.

Compassion's ministry is twofold: the organization works with local churches to provide child development programs dedicated to releasing children from spiritual, physical, economic and social poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Compassion is also committed to advocacy--informing, motivating and equipping others to become advocates for children.

If you choose to donate your money to Compassion, you can sponsor a child for $32 a month, or donate specifically to one of their current initiatives: AIDS initiative, Unsponsored Children, Child Survival Program, Disaster Relief, Peru Earthquake Response Fund, Where Most Needed, Leadership Development, Partners of Compassion, Medical Treatment, Philippines Typhoon Response Fund, Malaria Intervention Fund.

Today, Compassion provides child development aid to more than 900,000 children in 24 countries.
